Well I am one that likes my routine. Staying home even for work is a big change. You add that onto starting up college, and continued healing from PTSD.
Why would I make all of these changes. I felt pretty sure I was ready to get another degree. I am on week two, and had to go for a drive to clear my mind. The extra stress adds to my PTSD responses.
With the increase of the stress comes less sleep, hypervigelance, hallucinations, and easy to anger. I have to keep my witts about me or I may just lose it. The fight continues moving forward, even in the stressors of my life.
Fortunately, I can see the end of the tunnel. It won’t take me long to get my Associates degree. The benefits outweigh the pain that comes with it at this point.
I think all of us who suffer from PTSD or other Mental Illinesses have to try and make the best out of life. In a time that we are staying at home to help with getting things undercontrol, we still have to move forward in our own life. Trying to keep a positive perspective on things helps out. Our happiness is dependant upon us, and not outside things which are only temporary.
Stay postive through each of your struggles. How are you doing during this time? What are you doing to continue to grow amongst all of the struggles? Continue to fight you got this.
